It’s Fanfic Writers Appreciation Day!

I read fanfic for decades before I gathered enough courage to write and post my own. Decades full of inspiring authors, multiple fandom communities and many, many friends. When I finally did post my first fic, I was terriffed, but fandom was – and continues to be – a welcoming, encouraging and beautiful place.

As a writer, every author I read motivates me to keep writing, keep creating, keep encouraging others.

Fandom is a joyous place everyday, and I’m so grateful there’s a day designated to thanking and appreciating all the writers who make it wonderful.
