It becomes a pattern in the aftermath.

Bruce has set up a makeshift lab in Wakanda, while the world takes stock of their dead and Wakanda mourns for their king. Bruce isn’t doing anything important, but he needs to do something, so he studies Wakanda’s vibranium supply and attempts to keep Shuri busy.

Otherwise, the grief might just be too much for the both of them to bear.

Bruce also tries very hard not to think about Tony and what form of matter Tony may or may not be at this very moment. He’s only moderately successful.

It’s on the third day of the second week after half of the world has turned to ash that Thor brings Bruce a little green snake. Bruce is baffled, but he tried to be polite about it. Bruce is heartsick, though, so that makes everything a little harder.

Then Thor asks for Bruce to see if the snake is Loki, and it takes every bit of willpower Bruce Banner poses to not burst into tears. Thor is so strong and so keen to smile, he makes it so easy for everyone to forget that he has lost nearly everything.

Bruce pokes at the snake without any further complaints. When nothing happens, the grief on Thor’s face is unimaginable.

Bruce begins spending time with both Thor and Shuri, in a desperate attempt to combat his own grief by combatting theirs.

All the while, every second or third day, Thor brings Bruce a small green animal and asks Bruce to see if it his lost brother. Bruce checks every time, with care and precision, but the result is always negative. It’s awful for both of them, but Thor can’t seem to stop and Bruce doesn’t know how to make him.

This pattern holds for a few weeks, until Thor brings Bruce a beaten and battered lizard. It’d been burned somehow and it looked like one of its limbs had been badly broken. When Thor presents it to him, Bruce honestly isn’t sure if Thor had just brought the little thing to Bruce to see if it could be saved.

“Could you check?” Thor asks, the question quiet and hurt after so many weeks of negative results from Bruce’s prodding and poking.

“Of course,” Bruce says softly, adding his portion of the call and response.

He gingerly picks up the lizard, as the poor also looks like he’d been through the wringer, and gives him a quick once over. Bruce’d been right about the broken leg and the burns were pretty –

The lizard fucking turns into Loki. A damaged, burnt Loki who scuttles backward on a broken leg while spitting blood.

Thor bursts into tears. Bruce bursts out laughing. Everyone has their own way of processing grief and shock and grief turned into shock, apparently.

It’s later, when they’ve gotten Loki a little patched up, convinced Okoye not to kill Loki (”He tried to destroy the world!” she says – “He’s gotten better,” Bruce says), and Thor’s eyes were mostly dry, that Loki finally says through clenched, bloodied teeth:

“They’re in a pocket dimension.”

“Who?” Bruce whispers, stunned.

“Everyone. I told him he’d never be a god. He was just a warlord playing at being something powerful. He should’ve fucking listened.”

BANGLADESH NEEDS HELP

For those of you who don’t know Bangladesh, it is a small country right beside India and Myanmar.

I am a Citizen of Bangladesh

This is a plea for help.

On 29th of July 2018, 7 school going students were killed by a reckless bus driver. The students protested with slogans on the same bus stand.

Since then All students of Bangladesh are protesting for safer roads and more strict regulations.

Their intention was never to harm even a single person. Neither it is now.

But today POLICE AND PEOPLE OF CHHATRO LEAGUE(a student council that’s controlled by the government) tortured students with tear shell, they beat students brutally and raped the female students (on 4th August 2018). The students are trying to defend themselves with sticks and tree branches that they’ve found on the streets.

Till now 4 students have been murdered and other 4 female students have been raped. 2 students lost their eye. And the Government is sitting there silent.

WE NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE.

LET THE WORLD KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN BANGLADESH.

WE DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALLY FACEBOOK(that’s our primary social platform) AND WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF INTERNATIONAL HELP. PLEASE HELP US,PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS. WE ARE IN DANGER.

If you can’t do anything else, please signal boost this.

I will keep reblogging this until someone notices

A student being carried after being tortured

Police uniting against the students

One of the students whose eyes got clawed by Chhatro League. They had to use our flag to stop bleeding.

I can’t share all of it, we are being watched and Tumblr has its policies. Please help us as much as you can.

UPDATE:

No medical college/hospital is accepting students. They are suffering without proper medical attention. Only one medical was providing medical support, now they too have stopped. A doctor said (*this is not confirmed*) that at least 150 girls are still being held as hostages in the party office of the ruling party.

Another student who’s eye was clawed out

UPDATE:

There are some people dressed as student going in the movement and spreading rumours/false news that nothing happened/everything is normal. Govt. is saying that any news of violence is rumour. A journalist (wishes to stay anonymous) said she herself helped AT LEAST 50 students last night(4th August) who were trapped in various places, and the kids are traumatized after watching their friends get murdered by BCL. BCL is attacking anyone in a school dress/carrying a school bag. Bus drivers are a strike because “they need safety” (ironic). Anyone saying “nothing happened” is lying.

UPDATE:

very few children were in road today (5th August), mostly because they are TRAUMATIZED after watching their classmates die/getting beaten. Many university students continued the movement in their respective university area. Till now, BCL attacked students in two different areas (Uttara and Raampura) but failed to do anything because of the unity of students. They chased BCL away. Cellular data service is still unavailable. Government has not said anything about violence, they are telling people that everything that happened yesterday are nothing but rumours. They have made some changes in the law and added 5 more points but truth be told, everybody knows its just a bait, just an attempt to silence people. Nas daily shared our news today. Please bring as much attention as you can.

I forgot to add something. Someone from the government said “we will have everything under control within Sunday” on 3rd August and that’s what they did. They used their force to beat people and to have everything under control. There are new of reporters getting beaten because they were trying to take photos.

WARNING : TRIGGERING CONTENT

He is a freelance reporter. I am ashamed but I have to share news. Just look at this. I’m tired.

Everyone who reblogged and helped us,you are heroes. We,the people of our country love you with all our hearts for your support. You helped us reach international media.❤❤❤

now to the point. An emergency ward doctor said they treated more than 115 students last night, some of whom had injuries consisted with rubber bullets. (Source : Aljazeerah).

Varsity students rallied from Science Lab to Jigatola (the place where “incidents” happened yesterday).

See the crowd???

But they are not letting people record anything, keep any kind of proof.

I hope my voice reaches to everyone,I hope I am able to help.

UPDATE:

Students of all public universities have decided to boycott classes, and most of the private varsities have cancelled their classes. Most of the actual news aren’t even reaching to us as the cellular data service is unavailable till now. This country is going through a dark period. God help us all,may all our brothers and sisters be safe.

Jesus shit, nobody’s talking about this

Not to disregard that stand your ground only protects white men..

Her name is Jacqueline Dixon and she’s from Selma, AL. Here’s the article: https://www.al.com/news/birmingham/index.ssf/2018/07/woman_shot_killed_estranged_hu.html

please help Jacqueline Dixon

By all means “stand your ground” SHOULD mean that if he charges against me and I have a restraining order against him, I could shoot him in the head and it can be considered self defence but noooo, this is the United Sphincter of Asserica.

Please help me save my cat’s life.

anescapegoat:

I hate to ask for help like this but I don’t know where else to turn. My cat needs lifesaving surgery and we don’t have the money. Our Care Credit cards are maxed out from our cat’s previous emergency treatment for urinary blockage. It’s painful, recurring, and if left untreated, all he can do is curl up in a corner and wait to die an agonizing death. Even if treated, it will keep happening (this is his third or fourth time going through this.) He needs a perineal urethrostomy surgery which costs almost $1,000.

The only vet clinic where we can afford to take him will not accept a payment plan. We have no credit cards to use. Our mortgage is past due. We can bite the bullet to pay off the mortgage by the end of the month or pay for our cat’s surgery, but not both. Like always, his symptoms came suddenly, and despite our best efforts with helping him drink lots of water and switching him to a urinary health food, he still has this condition.

Please consider donating. I don’t want to give a sob story but we’ve been through so much. My mother was in the hospital recently to have her cancerous esophagus removed. She got pneumonia and was put on a ventilator, and the doctors said she would likely die. She stayed in the ICU for a month and a half before they moved her to the main floor and then to rehab. It was 90 degrees and storming outside the day of her surgery, and when she finally felt fresh air on her face again, it was a blizzard outside. My partner and I cared for her during that time but we took a financial hit from it.

On top of that, we had to euthanize our dog during that time. Our dog developed respiratory symptoms out of nowhere and we took her into the vet, but the medicine didn’t work and she got worse fast. She had started to go blind the morning we took her back. What they thought was a simple respiratory infection was metastasized cancer. We had no idea. It devastated my partner, who still cries about it eight months later. Our dog was still young.

Please. Any amount helps. I don’t want to fail my cat, too. I don’t want us to have to choose between all of us being homeless and saving my cat’s life. This isn’t how we normally live, we’re just stuck in a very tight spot and we could use any help you could possibly give.

Gideon Mendel’s The Ward

Memories from the heart of the Aids crisis shows true love in a time of terrible tragedy.

These heartbreaking and incredibly moving images show the affection and love shown during the height of the Aids crisis. Photographer Gideon Mendel’s project The Ward began in 1993 when he spent a number of weeks on the Charles Bell wards in London’s Middlesex Hospital. All the patients on the ward were dying with the knowledge that there was no cure for the disease. During this time antiretroviral medications were not available and patients on the ward faced the prospect of an early death.

Please pray for us here in Greece.

Three different places near Athens were destroyed by massive forest fires.

180+ people are severely injured and burnt.

50 people and counting were found dead on the streets, in their cars or houses, including families that were found hugging each other.

100+ are missing.

This is a national tragedy. So many were lost because of ARROGANT PEOPLE.

Spreading awareness. There’s no need for such things to happen, so many lives were destroyed for no reason.
